ܡܫܪܝܢܢ ܠܢ ܬܘܒ ܡܢ ܕܪܝܫ ܕܢܚܘܝܟܘܢ ܡܢܐ ܚܢܢ ܐܘ ܕܠܡܐ ܣܢܝܩܝܢܢ ܐܝܟ ܐܚܪܢܐ ܕܐܓܪܬܐ ܕܦܘܩܕܐ ܢܬܟܬܒܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܥܠܝܢ ܐܘ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܬܟܬܒܘܢ ܬܦܩܕܘܢ ܥܠܝܢ
elyn thpqdwn thkthbwn d'nthwn 'w elyn lkwn nthkthbn dpwqd' d'grth' 'khrn' 'yk snyqynn dlm' 'w khnn mn' dnkhwykwn drysh mn thwb ln mshrynn
Are we beginning again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as do some, letters of commendation to you or from you?

ܐܓܪܬܢ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܠܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܟܬܝܒܐ ܒܠܒܢ ܘܝܕܝܥܐ ܘܡܬܩܪܝܐ ܡܢ ܟܠܢܫ
klnsh mn wmthqry' wydye' blbn dkthyb' 'nwn 'nthwn dyln dyn 'grthn
You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men;

ܝܕܥܝܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܓܪܬܗ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܕܐܫܬܡܫܬ ܡܢܢ ܕܟܬܝܒܐ ܠܐ ܒܕܝܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܚܝܐ ܠܐ ܒܠܘܚܐ ܕܟܐܦܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܠܘܚܐ ܕܠܒܐ ܕܒܣܪܐ
dbsr' dlb' blwkh' 'l' dk'p' blwkh' l' khy' d'lh' brwkh' 'l' bdywth' l' dkthyb' mnn d'shthmshth dmshykh' 'nthwn d'grthh gyr ydeythwn
being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, served by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.

ܬܘܟܠܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܘܬ ܐܠܗܐ
'lh' lwth bmshykh' ln 'yth hkn' dyn thwkln'
Such confidence we have through Christ toward God;

ܠܘ ܕܚܢܢ ܣܦܩܝܢܢ ܕܢܬܪܥܐ ܡܕܡ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܢܦܫܢ ܐܠܐ ܚܝܠܢ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ
hw 'lh' mn khyln 'l' npshn dmn 'yk mdm dnthre' spqynn dkhnn lw
not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God;

ܗܘ ܕܐܫܘܝܢ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܡܫܡܫܢܐ ܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܚܕܬܐ ܠܐ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܐܠܐ ܒܪܘܚܐ ܟܬܒܐ ܓܝܪ ܩܛܠ ܪܘܚܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܚܝܐ
mkhy' dyn rwkh' qTl gyr kthb' brwkh' 'l' bkthb' l' khdth' ddythq' mshmshn' dnhw' d'shwyn hw
who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

ܐܢ ܕܝܢ ܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܡܘܬܐ ܒܟܬܒܐ ܐܬܪܫܡܬ ܒܟܐܦܐ ܘܗܘܬ ܒܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܫܟܚܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܠܡܚܪ ܒܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܕܡܘܫܐ ܡܛܠ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܕܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܗܘ ܕܐܬܒܛܠ

But if the service of death, written engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look steadfastly on the face of Moses for the glory of his face, which was passing away;

ܐܝܟܢܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܠܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܬܗܘܐ ܒܫܘܒܚܐ
bshwbkh' thhw' ythyr'yth l' drwkh' thshmshth' hkyl 'ykn'
won’t service of the Spirit be with much more glory?

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܠܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܚܘܝܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܚܕ ܟܡܐ ܬܬܝܬܪ ܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܐ ܒܫܘܒܚܐ
bshwbkh' dzdyqwth' thshmshth' ththythr km' khd shwbkh' hw' dkhwyb' lthshmshth' gyr 'n
For if the service of condemnation has glory, the service of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

ܐܝܟ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܕܐܦܠܐ ܡܫܒܚܐ ܗܝ ܕܐܫܬܒܚܬ ܒܦܘܚܡܐ ܕܗܢܐ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܡܝܬܪܐ
mythr' shwbkh' dhn' bpwkhm' d'shthbkhth hy mshbkh' d'pl' gyr hw 'yk
For most certainly that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasses.

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܕܡ ܕܐܬܒܛܠ ܒܫܘܒܚܐ ܗܘܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܐܝܢܐ ܕܡܩܘܐ ܒܫܘܒܚܐ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' bshwbkh' dmqw' 'yn' ythyr'yth hw' bshwbkh' d'thbTl mdm gyr 'n
For if that which passes away was with glory, much more that which remains is in glory.

ܡܛܠ ܕܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܗܢܐ ܣܒܪܐ ܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܒܓܠܐ ܥܝܢ ܡܬܕܒܪܝܢܢ
mthdbrynn eyn bgl' ythyr'yth sbr' hn' hkyl ln d'yth mTl
Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness of speech,

ܘܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܡܘܫܐ ܕܪܡܐ ܗܘܐ ܬܚܦܝܬܐ ܥܠ ܐܦܘܗܝ ܕܠܐ ܢܚܘܪܘܢ ܒܢܝ ܐܝܣܪܝܠ ܒܫܘܠܡܗ ܕܗܘ ܕܡܬܒܛܠ
dmthbTl dhw bshwlmh 'ysryl bny nkhwrwn dl' 'pwhy el thkhpyth' hw' drm' mwsh' 'yk wl'
and not as Moses, who put a veil on his face, that the children of Israel wouldn’t look steadfastly on the end of that which was passing away.

ܐܠܐ ܐܬܥܘܪܘ ܒܡܕܥܝܗܘܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ ܐܡܬܝ ܕܕܝܬܩܐ ܥܬܝܩܬܐ ܡܬܩܪܝܐ ܗܝ ܗܝ ܬܚܦܝܬܐ ܩܝܡܐ ܥܠܝܗܘܢ ܘܠܐ ܡܬܓܠܝܐ ܕܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘ ܡܬܒܛܠܐ
mthbTl' hw dbmshykh' mthgly' wl' elyhwn qym' thkhpyth' hy hy mthqry' ethyqth' ddythq' 'mthy lywmn' gyr edm' bmdeyhwn 'thewrw 'l'
But their minds were hardened, for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains, because in Christ it passes away.

ܘܥܕܡܐ ܠܝܘܡܢܐ ܐܡܬܝ ܕܡܬܩܪܐ ܡܘܫܐ ܬܚܦܝܬܐ ܥܠ ܠܒܗܘܢ ܪܡܝܐ
rmy' lbhwn el thkhpyth' mwsh' dmthqr' 'mthy lywmn' wedm'
But to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.

ܘܐܡܬܝ ܕܐܢܫ ܡܢܗܘܢ ܢܬܦܢܐ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܡܫܬܩܠܐ ܡܢܗ ܬܚܦܝܬܐ
thkhpyth' mnh mshthql' mry' lwth nthpn' mnhwn d'nsh w'mthy
But whenever one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

ܡܪܝܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܘܝܘ ܪܘܚܐ ܘܐܬܪ ܕܪܘܚܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܚܐܪܘܬܐ ܗܝ
hy kh'rwth' dmry' drwkhh w'thr rwkh' hwyw dyn mry'
Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

ܚܢܢ ܕܝܢ ܟܠܢ ܒܐܦܐ ܓܠܝܬܐ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܡܚܙܝܬܐ ܚܙܝܢܢ ܘܠܗ ܠܕܡܘܬܐ ܡܫܬܚܠܦܝܢܢ ܡܢ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܠܫܘܒܚܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܪܘܚܐ
rwkh' mry' dmn 'yk lshwbkh' shwbkh' mn mshthkhlpynn ldmwth' wlh khzynn dbmkhzyth' 'yk dmry' thshbwkhthh glyth' b'p' kln dyn khnn
But we all, with unveiled face seeing the glory of the Lord as in a mirror, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit.
